1978: |
De Rigo was born as a third parties contractor for the production of sunglasses, prescription eyeglass and eyeglass components. |
1983: |
De Rigo began to produce its own brand Police. |
1985: |
Within a few years De Rigo established itself as one of the Italian leading producers and launched the second own brand Sting. |
1992: |
De Rigo merged with Argosol, another sunglasses and prescription frames manufacturer wholly owned by the De Rigo brothers. The acquisition of Lozza brand. |
1993: |
The company began to produce sunglasses and eyeglass frames under names licensed by renowned fashion house, such as Fendi and soon became one of the word leaders in the mid-to premium price categories of sunglasses. |
1995: |
De Rigo became a Spa (corporation limited by shares) and inauguration of the second production facility in Longarone. |
1997: |
Signed a new licensee agreement with Etro. |
1998: |
Acquisition of “ Dollond & Aitchison”, Uk leading optical chain. Signed a new licensee agreement with La Perla. |
2000: |
Acquisition of “ General Optica”, Spain and Portugal leading optical chain. Signed a new licensee agreement with three brands: Givenchy, Celine and Loewe. |
2002: |
De Rigo signed a licensee agreement with Furla. |
2004: |
De Rigo became a holding company, contributed all assets and liabilities, operating in the wholesales and manufacturing division to a new company De Rigo Vision. |
2004: |
De Rigo signed new licensee agreement for the production and worldwide distribution of eyewear as: Escada, Chopard, Ermenegildo Zegna and Jean Paul Gaultier. |
2006: |
Signed an agreement with Pirelli for Pirelli PZero brand under licence. |
2007: |
Signed an agreement with Switch-it |
2008: |
A year of great achievements for the De Rigo Group. - The brand Police celebrates its 25th anniversary and introduces the first clothing collection - Lozza, the oldest Italian optical brand celebrates its 130th anniversary - DRV opens up 2 new subsidiaries: Korea and Portugal - The strategical licences of Chopard and Escada are renewed. |
